Ecosystem Mural Project

 

STUDENTS WILL BE ABLE TO:
- Depict an ecosystem.
- Create mural of local natural ecosystem.

GUIDING QUESTION: What is an ecosystem?

MATERIALS:
- Butcher paper
- Paint and/or other art supplies

CLASS ACTIVITIES:
1. Teams each make a mural showing structures in their local natural ecosystem. (Do not yet add specific organisms.)
2. Post murals in hall or classroom.
3. If time allows, discuss: What do we get from ecosystems? How do we contribute to ecosystems?
