Discovery
Day Camp: Exploring Nature
Calling 3rd
and 4th grade explorers!
Hike around the
Discovery Center’s lands, explore pond ecosystems, learn about the
geology of the area, and create art from nature!
Spend a week with Gorge Ecology Institute naturalists, learning and
exploring our local shrub-steppe ecosystem. Observe the diverse
plants and wildlife of the amazing Columbia River Gorge while
participating in hands-on activities and team-building initiatives.

Skamania
County Forest Explorers Camp
Skamania
County youth (ages 10 to 14 ) are eligible to participate in the
weeklong Forest Explorers Overnight Camp at the Mt. Adams Center in
Trout Lake. Camp will highlight forest ecology, outdoor recreation,
forest stewardship and leadership development. For more information,

Wilderness
Ecology Backpacking Trip
Get ready to learn
about backcountry cooking, teamwork, Leave No Trace principles and map
and compass skills as we go hiking, and explore the Columbia Gorge. We
will also conduct ecological stewardship and research activities. Ages
