THERE ARE MANY WAYS FOR YOU TO GET INVOLVED!
Teach weekly classroom lessons. Serve as a mentor for a high-needs student. Explore field trip sites with a group of stewards-in-training. Contribute artwork for publications. Lead a weekend hike. Help a classroom plan a wild-bird habitat in their school yard. Attend a family showcase event. Edit the quarterly newsletter. Sew costumes. Participate in a Volunteer Training Series...
SECRETS VOLUNTEER INSTRUCTORS Volunteers also have a big impact on helping the program reach more students. For each volunteer teaching in the classroom, Institute staff can reach additional students and spend the time developing new programs. We are committed to providing the training and opportunities for local residents who are eager to learn about the local forests and high desert to volunteer as science instructors and help with ecological restoration projects.
